How to Get

Packs of Behemoths of Thera are available for purchase from the in-game store, and individual cards may be crafted with Shiftstone.

Behemoths of Thera packs are also used in Draft and Leagues, and Behemoths of Thera cards have been incorporated into the Forge mode.

Mechanics & Themes

New Mechanics

HuntHunt:
The enemy player discards that many cards from the top of their deck. The hunter gets +1/+1 for each non-power discarded and you drawn an Advantage with +1 power for each power discarded.

When a unit or weapon Hunts, the enemy player will discard the specified number of cards from the top of their deck and the hunter receives +1/+1 for each non-power discarded that way. If any power were discarded this way, you will also draw an Advantage that gives +1 power for each. If no card was discarded, the hunter gets no benefit.

VersatileVersatile:
This can be played as either a relic weapon or unit weapon.

A Relic Weapon with Versatile skill can be played either on your avatar as normal or as a non-Relic Weapon on one of your units.

Returning Mechanics

• SpellcraftSpellcraft:
  When played, you may also pay its Spellcraft cost to play the spell., now found on units in addition to attachments
• NightfallNight:
  When you start a turn at Night, draw an additional card and take 1 damage.
  
  Nightfall:
  The first Nightfall card played in a turn makes it Night and extends it by a turn for each player., now appears in all factions, debuting as a theme in and on one unit.
• MarketThe Market:
  You may store up to five different cards in your Market when you build a deck. - a new cycle of market cards, Deliveries, has been introduced. Unlike most previous market access cards, these do not require swapping a card from your hand; however, the card drawn from the market must be played on the same turn or it is put into the top 5 cards of your deck and you draw a card.

Themes

• Effects triggered by a player drawing their second card in a turn, which synergize well with Nightfall
• Effects that depend on a unit with 7 total /. This is mainly found in Shadow with cards such as Obstinate Rat and Vein Parasite
• To utilise extra power from Advantages, there are two cycles of units with very expensive abilities.

Preview Event

The BBattle in the Wilds preview event was run from January 13 at 10 AM MST (16:00 UTC) to January 17th at 10 PM MST (Wednesday, January 18th 4:00 UTC).

It’s Humans vs Beasts!

• Each submitted deck must have been a two-faction Throne deck.
• After finishing redraws, one player will draw a beast from the upcoming Behemoths of Thera expansion with its cost reduced by 2. The other player will draw two copies of one of the people of Thera instead.
• Each run continued until the player had either 10 wins or 3 losses.
• Entry costed 300 Gems or 4,000 Gold.
• Players could run the Event any number of times using any faction, but only the best record in each faction was kept.
• Players were rewarded with a number of Behemoths of Thera packs depending on their best run and the leaderboard position.

Additionally, between October 11th and October 18th curated 30+ cards from Behemoths of Thera were added to Draft packs including the five Deliveries. While they could be viewed in the client, and the Deliveries could be crafted, they were only usable during Draft games.
