Cardbacks are cosmetic items. They alter the appearance of the players' decks, and the appearance of the cards in their hand as viewed by their opponent.
Cardbacks are earned in various ways. Many may be purchased from the Store (alone or as part of a bundle), others are unlocked in events or in special circumstances (ex. Wolf's Bane cardback).
Cardback Selection

Cardbacks are chosen in the Personalize and Deck Customization screens.
A default cardback is selected in the Profile's Personalize sub-screen. This screen displays all cardbacks, even those the player doesn't own (displayed with a "lock" symbol). Choosing any cardback displays its name and description, and unlocked cardbacks may be selected for use.
Cardbacks may be further customized for individual decks through the Deck Editor's Deck Customization screen.
