Filter means to "Draw one of the top N cards of your deck. Put the rest on the bottom." This may include restrictions on what cards can be drawn.
Named for a similar mechanic in Magic: the Gathering.[1]
Not to be confused with Category:Loot, which means to "Draw a card, then discard a card."
