Sacrifice[]
The introduction of the Destruction faction in The Flame of Xulta was largely focused on a sacrifice theme, with many cards that allow the sacrificing of units, as well as cards like Profane Nexus and Dova, the Fearmonger with "sacrifice matters" effects.
Decay[]
With Argent Depths, the Decay mechanic was introduced in cards in the Destruction factions. Examples include Chemical Rounds, Leyline Tracer, and Razor Lash.
Shift[]
Although the Shift mechanic is found in all factions, most "shift matters" cards, such as Cloak of Moments, Waystone Elemental, and Uldra, Veilripper, are found in the Destruction factions.
