The Praxis Arcanum are a collective of mages who seek power by unlocking the secrets of the universe.
Praxis is the combination of the Fire and Time Factions.
Mechanics[]
Warp[]
Warp was introduced with Omens of the Past, and was initially present only on Praxis cards, although it has since been extended to all factions. Praxis still has the most specialized Warp interactions such as Workshop Forge
Charge[]
Charge is largely limited to Praxis, although it appears on a small number of cards in other factions. Praxis cards like Diogo Málaga and Magus of Celerity can grant other units Charge, allowing for surprise attacks.
Attachment Destruction[]
Fire and Time are the only factions with general attachment destruction abilities, which can be played against Relics, Weapons, and Curses alike. Spells like Bore and Passage of Eons are able to take out multiple attachments at once, and units such as Shatterglass Mage can destroy attachments as a summon effect.
Tokens[]
One of Praxis's specialties is putting out large numbers of small units, with cards like Assembly Line and Humbug Swarm. These can be followed up with Rally or Xenan Obelisk to turn these units into major threats.
Unit Types[]
Sentinels[]
Sentinels are mostly large, high-cost units that often have powerful effects. Heart of the Vault is a strong drop that provides card advantage through Warp and it's other abilities; Moment of Creation can be a powerful bomb in a spell-heavy deck. Sentinels also combine well with Explorers and Relics, in cards like Monolith Guardian and Mysterium Orb.
Although Sentinels were limited to the Praxis factions for some time, they have expanded into Justice with the release of City Constructor in Bastion Rising, as well as additional Justice presence in Empire of Glass.
Lore[]
