Alternate Art

An alternate-art version of Rolant, Iron Tyrant was released in a pre-order bundle for Argent Depths. It cannot be crafted or destroyed for Shiftstone. The $49.99 bundle included 4-copy playsets of both premium and non-premium versions of the alt-art card, and was available from June 17, 2020 until Argent Depths's full release.

In addition to the alt-art card, the Argent Depths pre-order bundle also included a Rolant premium avatar and a Rolant-themed cardback.

Rolant's normal-version artwork was one of the first things teased about Argent Depths, revealed by Scarlatch in the game's Discord.

Rolant was one of 10 Hero units featured in the Heroes from the Depths preview event for Argent Depths. From June 19—June 23, 2020, players could bring 2-faction Throne decks to compete in event runs, for run and leaderboard rewards. At the start of each game, four noncollectible copies of the Hero matching the deck's factions would be shuffled into the top half of the deck.

Rolant, Iron Tyrant is a part of a legendary cycle of double-faction Heroes with unusual AABBBB influence requirements.
The cycle consists of Angelica, Praxis Infuser, Marley, Heroic Marshal, Kenna, Uncontained, Buh-ton, Death's Reach, Diana, Faith's Shield, Danica, Runed Witch, Katra, The First Seal, Roshi the Entrancer, Rolant, Iron Tyrant, and Rindra, Infiltrator.
